Democrats mark the end of Women’s History Month by recognizing trailblazing women in Tennessee
NASHVILLE — Senate Democrats marked the end of Women’s History Month by celebrating some exceptional women for their contributions to the state. From political figures and entrepreneurs to medical and law enforcement professionals, these women are leaders who are making an indelible mark on their communities and will serve as exemplars for future generations to emulate.
In saluting these incredible Tennessee women during Women’s History Month, let us remember that when women succeed, America succeeds, as does Tennessee.
To mark the occasion, the Senate Democratic Caucus recognized these women on the floor of the Tennessee Senate and hosted a luncheon in their honor. The month of March was officially designated as Women’s History Month in 1987.
